COMMISSIONS FAQ:
What are the benefits of commissioning a painting?
If you'd like to capture a place you have fond memories of, an animal you love or find a painting with the perfect feeling, colour palette, and size for your space, then a commission is a great option for you. I will work one-on-one with you through meetings in person, on email, or via video call to create a painting specific to your needs that you will cherish for years to come.
What can I commission?
You can commission streetscapes, still lifes, interiors, or pet portraits. You provide me with your own photos of what you would like me to paint. Speak to me if you have something else in mine, I’m always open to special requests.
How long will it take?
This depends a lot on the size of the painting, and on the amount of other projects I have going on. Smaller paintings can be completed and shipped within one to two months, while paintings larger than listed below may take several months. Let me know if you are on a tight schedule (e.g. for a holiday gift), and I will try my best to accommodate that.
What is the commission process like?
First, we discuss the subject, size, surface type, and other details of the painting, and I will create a contract with the commission details. I will then create a digital concept sketch of what the painting will look like. At this point, you either approve the design or request alterations. I'll then make the painting based on the concept image and our discussions, and ship it to you as soon as it is ready.
How much does a commission cost?
My commissions are priced in AUD, based on both size and surface type. The minimum size for a commission is 5 x 7in, on your choice of archival paper, canvas panel, or stretched canvas. Below are some examples of standard sizing I offer, however I will be happy to find the right size for you even if it is not listed below.
